Services
Mineral Exploration Services
We offer services in every step of your Mineral Exploration project:
- Area review: Compilation of prior work done in the area of interest.
- Field visits for target evaluation.
- Contract geologists (e.g. Geoscience students, project geologists, senior geologists)
- Project management, planning and execution
- Reporting and contacting with authorities
- Stakeholder engagement and announcement (e.g. local newspaper) of field work
Petrography
We offer petrographical analyses of natural rocks using polarization- and reflected light microscopy from thin sections or polished rock slabs/mounts (only reflected light). Petrographic descriptions can be made from the already existing microscope preparates OR from rock samples that we prepare for the petrography using external thin section preparation labs. Petrographical services and Report includes:
- Planning and executing sampling campaign for petrographical samples (e.g. drill cores, field sampling)
- Identification of main- and accessory minerals with visual estimates of the modal percentages
- Ore mineralogy, mineral associations, textural settings
- Rock textures
- Photomicrographs from the representative locations
Mineral geochemistry
Geochemistry and Compositional Data Analysis
Whole-rock geochemistry
We use external geochemical laboratories for whole-rock geochemical analyses. Our services include:
- Sampling (e.g. Drill core or field sampling)
- Finding the best analytical method for the project
- Whole-rock geochemical data processing and interpretation based on the client needs (e.g. lithogeochemistry).
Compositional Data Analysis
Geochemical data is a compositional data, meaning that it is relative values (e.g. wt-%, ppm) and summing up to a unity. Without appropriate pre-processing and data transformations, statistical analyses of geochemical data can result false interpretations. However, whole-rock geochemical data from e.g. drill cores can reveal extremely important information e.g. about the elemental associations, possible signals of different stages of the ore-forming processes. Identification of thes hidden patterns from the data will lead to better understanding of your project area and detection of potential pathfinder elements that can guide your exploration activities. Our services include:
- Preprocessing of the geochemical data according to the best practices (incl. cleaning and transformation of the data (CLR, ILR))
- Multivariate statistical analysis
- Lithogeochemistry
- Final report including the diagrams and interpretation of the results.
