Whole-rock geochemistry

We use external geochemical laboratories for whole-rock geochemical analyses. Our services include:

  • Sampling (e.g. Drill core or field sampling)
  • Finding the best analytical method for the project
  • Whole-rock geochemical data processing and interpretation based on the client needs (e.g. lithogeochemistry).

Compositional Data Analysis

Geochemical data is a compositional data, meaning that it is relative values (e.g. wt-%, ppm) and summing up to a unity. Without appropriate pre-processing and data transformations, statistical analyses of geochemical data can result false interpretations. However, whole-rock geochemical data from e.g. drill cores can reveal extremely important information e.g. about the elemental associations, possible signals of different stages of the ore-forming processes. Identification of thes hidden patterns from the data will lead to better understanding of your project area and detection of potential pathfinder elements that can guide your exploration activities. Our services include:

  • Preprocessing of the geochemical data according to the best practices (incl. cleaning and transformation of the data (CLR, ILR))
  • Multivariate statistical analysis
  • Lithogeochemistry
  • Final report including the diagrams and interpretation of the results.
